LEAD

Test for lead

10 tests $9.95

You cannot tell by looking at a painted surface whether it contains lead. But lead-containing dust can enter your body when inhaled or transferred from hands to your mouth. That's why it's important to investigate any suspicion of lead.

Why is lead dangerous?

Lead is a toxic heavy metal that can accumulate in your body and damage your nervous system and kidneys, among other things. Children are particularly vulnerable: Even low levels of lead can affect brain development, concentration and learning – without obvious symptoms. The WHO has not identified a safe level of lead in blood.
